Product Review: Sugar Liquid Lipstick – Brazen Raisin

I’m a sucker for liquid matte lipsticks and so I decided to buy a couple of shades of the Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick.

The Shade Brazen Raisin is a dark burgundy shade which compliments the Indian skin tone beautifully. It has an undertone of brown so don’t apply more than one coat.  Apply a single layer since it’s very well pigmented and dries up rather quickly. On drying up, it’s completely matte and not glossy at all. One thing to keep in mind is that Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks are extremely dry so moisturize and scrub your lips well before you wear the lipstick on.  It comes in a travel friendly box packaging. The lipstick comes in a clear bottle with an applicator attached to the cap. The lasting power is great, infact I found it a little hard to take it off. So eat, drink and be least bothered about a touch up! With a great pricing, we would definitely recommend this one.

Product Review: Colorbar Radiant Glow Face Illuminator Pen

Colorbar’s Radiant Glow Illuminator Pen is a compact, easy to carry highlighter which is a great product to give you a natural shine and to enhance your make up as well as the high points of your face.

Radiant Glow Face Illuminator Pen resembles your regular ball pen with a push button at the back.  A soft bristle releases the highlighter when tapped on the skin and when pressed from the back. You can use it to apply the product directly on the face.

It is a cream based highlighter and it’s easy to apply since it’s smooth and rich. The best part about the product is that it’s not too glittery and can be used on all skin types. Ensure to clean the bristle with a soft tissue after every use or the product will accumulate and make the brush hard.

Overall, it is a great product, especially since it looks natural on applying and extremely travel friendly.

Product Review: Ozone Acne Healing Treatment Kit

Ozone Ayurvedics is a Consumer Healthcare organization with expertise in Skincare. This company was established in the year 2000 and is into Herbal and Ayurvedics products with a vision to make use of the holistic approach of the ancient science of Ayurveda. Their new product Ozone Acne Healing Treatment Kit was sent to us for a trial.

The box contains of 6 products, Neem Cleanser for Acne, Sanitizing Acne Beads, Acne Healing Serumoid, Acne Healing Gel, Acne Healing Mask, Acne Check Face Wash, Acne Check Hydrant. 

 

 

 

How to Use: 

1] Start with the Ozone Neem Cleanser for Acne on a cotton ball. Dab it over active acne and softly dab is all across your face so that all the excess oil is removed.

2] Move over to the Ozone Santizing Acne Beads. Apply the product and leave it on for about 5-7 minutes as per the instructions on the box. It contains Aloe Vera, camphor, jojoba and thymol along with essential oils of clove, lemon and eucalyptus. After the first 5 minutes, massage your face gently with your fingers in a circular motion. Wipe it off with a moist cotton ball and dry out your skin completely. With this the cleansing process is complete.

3] Next, apply the Ozone Acne Healing Serumoid on your face and neck, massage is thoroughly in circular strokes till it gets absorbed by the skin. Do not apply on your lips and eyes.

4] After the Serumoid is absorbed by the skin, apply the Ozone Acne Healing Gel on your face and neck and similarly massage it for 10-15 minutes. Once done, wipe it all off with a damp towel.

5] Evenly apply the Ozone Acne Healing Mask on your Face and Neck again avoiding the lips and eyes. Let it stay for about 10-15 minutes until dry. Gently massage over it and wipe it off with a moist cotton ball so that there is no residue left. Make sure all of it is wiped off.

6] Finally, apply the Ozone Acne Check Hydrant and massage it gently all over your face and neck untill it gets absorbed.

And you’re done! Your skin will definitely feel fresh and rejuvenated post this process and after a day or two you will see considerable results.

Product Review: Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick – Icon

My current favourite work wear lip shade is the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick – Icon. A lovely Pinkish Nude, I got this one from Dubai and the brand is available at most of the Sephora outlets in Dubai.

The shade “Icon,” is described as a classic peachy pink and when you apply it, it does look more peachy. However, on drying up, it darkens and looks more nude and very attractive. It’s perfect for the Indian skin tone. Extremely well pigmented and just one swipe is enough for the shade to stay on. For a gloss, it stays relatively long say about 4-6 hours. The packaging is great too, quite appealing. The gloss bottle is packed in a cardboard container (check picture). A little steep on the pricing, we would totally recommend this if you’re checking out the best matte lip colours out there.

Product Review: Organic Harvest Activ Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser

Organic Harvest is an Indian brand which has an entire range of organic skin care, body care and hair care products. Organic products really excite me as I know that they are much more sensitive on the skin and free of chemicals.

The packaging of the product is quite cool. It comes in a plastic bottle with an integrated silicon cleansing brush. So you can use the product and then cover the brush with the cap provided.

The ingredients of this product as mentioned on the bottle are Aqua, Organic Acai berry extract, Organic Decyl glucoside, Organic cocoamphodiacetate, Olive oil, Liquid Shea butter and fragrance.

The bottle also mentions clear instructions on how to use the product. 
You need to pump a generous amount and apply the foam in upward strokes. Usually a single pump is more than enough for the entire face. After you have massaged the entire face, rinse it off thoroughly.

The product is quite effective to remove dirt and excessive oil from the skin. It’s not too dry and cleanses the pores out well. Avoid using it on acne prone area as the brush might irritate the sensitive skin. Overall, the product is great to exfoliate and cleanse the skin.

Maybelline has some of the finest cosmetics and their kajal and liner are the best you can get in the market at affordable rates.

Everyone is trying to fix their frizzy hair in the monsoons and here is an ideal product which will help you do that easily. We recently tried the Streax Pro Vita Gloss Hair Serum and were mighty impressed with it.

A coin sized application of the product helps ease out the frizz post a hair wash. Apply the product when your hair is wet and detangle it with a wide toothed comb. If your hair is extremely frizzy, apply it from the root to downwards, if not that frizzy then you can simply apply it at the ends of your hair and simply wipe off the extra serum on the rest of your hair. You can let your hair air dry or blow dry post this.

The ingredients of the product include Cylclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Light Liquid Paraffin, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Iso Propyl Myristate, Perfume, Vitamin E and Almond Oil.  The almond oil keeps the fragrance subtle and pleasant.

Tip: Apply sunscreen generously before going outdoors. It takes approximately 15 – 30 minutes for your skin to absorb the sunscreen and protect you. If you wait until you are in the sun to apply sunscreen, your skin is unprotected and can burn. Use sunscreen on an everyday basis for keeping your skin healthy and sun-proof!

Maybelline launched its first 12 in one eye shadow palette – The Nudes and it has got really popular in no time!

 

12 different shades of nude, both shimmery and matte and arranged in quads, trios and duos to make it easier for you to blend them together, this one is a steal! The shades are soft and well pigmented, especially the shimmer ones, also best suited for the Indian skin type.

The palette is extremely compact making it travel friendly. The transparent lid makes it easier to pick the shades. They also have basic instructions on the back of the palette which makes is extremely user friendly for makeup amateurs.
